No "I say easily sharped" my statement --- that has been my experience and what I have seen (heard) and sometimes corrected.

I think I was asking for a 'start here' suggestion, and for sure that's what everyone who's replied has helped with. As well as a lot of nifty information. Abdicating reasoning, I hope I didn't give that impression, but I was inarticulate in expressing a hope to start off on the right foot and not purchase materials that haven't had a history of working well. Fretwire is awfully inexpensive compared to the time spent installing and adjusting it.

Thanks, everybody.

I bought some pre-bent Jescar medium/medium nickel silver fretwire from a vendor in New Hampshire. So I can start from there. Mailman brought it today. Thanks everybody.

EVO wire, I'll never go back to regular wire. Lasts longer and works better.

I know the SS wire lasts longer --- is it difficult to cut and shape with our normal tools (concave files, razor saw, nippers etc.) and how exactly does it work better?
