I got a picture of the inlay done by my friend Andy Birko. He also donated the fretboard, a faux bound ebony number, and the bridge. He does custom CNC work for luthiers and others. Great guy and I can't thank him enough!

Thanks Ray! The inlay looks like it has some gaps right now, but that is only because it is still flat, and not radiused and leveled to the board. I think it will look even nicer when it is leveled. The soundboard is Lutz spruce from Mario DaCosta. I don't think you missed it, but if you did, I don't blame you for not wanting to dig back through 7 pages of posts to find it!
For the last two nights, I have been very slowly drop filling a few gaps in the binding. I swear that before I began finishing, there were no gaps, but the lacquer has a way of finding them, and sinking into them, leaving them very visible to me eye, relatively speaking. In reality, the spots I need to fill are very small, but to me, as the builder, they look like Grand Canyon sized craters. I think I have them all filled now so I can leave the box to dry for a week.
Here is the kicker to this guitar though: It is supposed to be delivered by June 5th. The owner wishes to play it at his sister's wedding on the 6th. That leaves me three weeks to get the box sanded and buffed, fret and glue on the fret board, apply finish to the neck, and then get the thing set up. I will also need to put on the bridge!! It might be close, especially with the work I am doing at home. Things could get interesting.
