Seriously now, I think it would be cool to have this machine to make my necks and bridges, but I don't have time to make the thing until maybe this winter, and I might do it then, just for the fun of it, cause in the time it takes me to make the machine, I could probably make enough necks to last me about 6 yeeears.

OK Dave I've been following this thread for almost a year. It's like watching a two reeler serial movie when I was a kid. Oh crap I just dated myself didn't I. Ken's probably laughingbhis head off watching you try to build a Luddite CNC machine.

And I would not blame him! :-) Though truth be told I built it as a challenge and really enjoyed it. I will use for a neck, by gum.

So...where's MY order? Did you fill the shop up with enough sawdust you can't find the machine OR the door?
I'm worried bout you Dave, you need to get organized! See, winter is coming, you can blow all that sawdust in a pellet machine and compress enough pellet stove fuel to pay for all your "Stuff" and get a "Green" T shirt too!

If I wasn't so backed up with expensive commission builds, I'd.....wait, that is totally a lie.
I just have not got around to it. My hope is - and don't take this to the bank....to use it as a router thicknesser as we are talking about in another thread.

Hi Dave , I made a copy carver about a year ago a little different than this one ill see if I can post a pic , I made it for doing violin tops and backs it works very well , just go slow and don't get in a hurry you should do fine with it , the one I made I used a laminate router and made a slide fixture so it could slide side to side out of some aluminum its all adjustable goes up and down and side to side back and forward , saves a lot of time too.
