Hi Beth, thanks for the compliment. The tail wedge is a piece of madrone burl. I'll have better photos of it posed soon.

I actually was interested in the wood you used on the tail block, to join the sides at the butt. Looks like it might be some kind of spruce?

My bad, sorry. The tail block is cedar.

Really nice Dave. Did you us the RO sander up to the 2000 grit?
If so, what did you do about the paper loading up? I have issues there...
