Now I slap some lacquer on that puppy. Its too small to do a multi colored 'burst. The future owner likes it so that's all that counts.

Nothing wrong with a single color burst and that turned out to be the right fix.

Alright. I started to hate this burst. It was not what I wanted to do and I really did not like covering up so much beautiful wood. Also, I got a lot of negative feedback on it, so I sanded it off.
As of right now, this is one idea I have to cover up this goof but leave as much wood as possible exposed. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
The penciled in area will be black.

Tonight I did this:

which if cut right would make this:
So it looks like I am back in business once I make the three pieces into one soundboard. Now for a rosette and stuff.
