Side bar -- Zpoxy has an amber tint -- a little tint in the sealer and the top coat will tend to amp up the Curl in most woods. Some even use an amber water base dye on the bare wood which really works well.

Beside popping the curl as Ken mentioned, I use the amber tint of zpoxy and shellac in my color schemes to pull the various elements of the guitar together. Without it I find a clashes of close colors, for example the maple in the purflings vs the maple in my bindings. I personally find a crystal clear finish to highlight those discontinuities. That could be a good thing but not what I go after.

Best. Buffing. Ever.
Seriously amazing reflection. If I had that guitar I'd throw away my mirrors and use it to shave.
I'm going to try a WB finish on my next guitar.
Edit: Of course, I need to buy a sprayer first :)

Nice!
Dual spindle power buffer right? Diameter? Wheel width? HP? RPM?

Thanks Dave and Ken,
I do have the older stewmac arbor with 3 14" cotton weave wheels on each side. The motor is a 3/4 horse 1725 RPM. I think the pulleys give me a 2.5 to 1 reduction so around 690 rpm.
I used Miranda polishing compound medium -> fine -> I raked the fine wheel and used extra fine.
Before buffing I did use micro mesh up to 2400 with my orbital sander.

That's beautiful John, and that is some killer curly maple binding...it just pops!
