Thanks Kevin!
I have gotten a lot better cutting pearl and the ebony since that first time when it seemed nearly impossible. This time the fit was perfect with no need to pull out my needle files or fill. Over the years I picked up a few things that help. I hold the saw loosely and never try to push it forward. This helps maintain the plane of the saw. I also make sure I can see what I need to do. I have started to just watch the line I need to cut instead of trying to cut on the line. It sounds weird but if you are walking down a path you do not think about what your legs are doing or think about turning right or left you just walk and follow the path. I get that way while I am cutting; the saw goes up and down and the cut follows the line. I do slow down when I need to make a right angle turn.
... and do not BBQ the hawk. It is cool that you got a close up photo.
