Thanks Dave, that's what my wife says :>)
It is a bit stripey but I like some color and stripes. Actually the other side is a little less so and I may turn this inside out before I'm done.
Tony, Koa is out of my budget and I like the stainless slats...they work great.

Pretty sure its galvinized that causes the green -- I always use parchment paper between the slats on any of the lighter color woods just a little insurance. BTW I have found that kraft paper can cause some irreversable stains -- I think I posted that somewhere else?

I remember you saying that Ken about the stains with kraft paper. When I bend the maple I have I'll wrap them for safety.

I think the side pictured would be the side I'd go with. Looks like it would be hard to beat. Love the color and I'm a stripey guy myself.Kevininca wrote: It is a bit stripey but I like some color and stripes. I told you this build would be going slowly......but I did get a little time in this week.
Made the center back strip out of old spruce top left overs, split some brace stock, and go the back braced in the gobar deck.

Looks good Kevin. I can't wait until I'm self-reliant and confident enough to scratch build. Where did you get your go-bars? I haven't seen many places to buy them online.

You can get those FG rods at any on line kite shop -- seems to me that the semi-production shops that still have GB decks use flat FG slats and or wood slats for bars.
