More work on the neck. Truss rod slot done. Heel block glued on. Headstock thicknesses within a 1/16" which I'll bring down to final thickness on the back side using a drum sander mounted jig on the drill press, after the face plate veneer is installed.

Got pretty far the last couple of days even with two groups/4 nights of company here.
The head plate is glued on and the headstock is shaped. The fretboard is made ready for fretting. I have it set up for gluing with locator pins. The fretboard is bound with binding made from cutoffs of the fretboard blank. I like doing them this way. No fret ends to show and it doesn't look like it's bound.
The headstock has been thicknesses to .590" final thicknessing done on the back side, after drilling the tuner holes, using my oscillating drum sander. I use to set up to do this on my drill press with a robo drum. This us my first use of the Ryobi sander I bought last year on Craigslist locally, brand new never used discontinued model for $50.
Hey hey, sell them for three times that much.
It worked much better than the drill press set up.
Drilled holes in the neck heel for barrel bolts.
I'm ready to route the mortise and tenon now.
This always freaks me out. Jigs and big routers!!!

Looking more like a guitar. Neck is fit. No figuring out my fretboard extension bolt down set up.

Thanks John
Remember that Simpson mortise and tenon jig?
It still works although not super accurate.
Yesterday I began to figure out my screw down fretboard extension setup. Made a block that will hold the T nuts and be glued to the fretboard bottom and made a pattern and routed the cavity in the top. Took lots of time fitting and fiddling with this but it looks like it will work. Today I'll install the nuts, drill holes, etc. Not ready to glue the block to the fretboard yet. I want to install most of the frets first other than where the locating pins go......I think.
John. Why do my pics turn 90 degrees when I upload them?
