I use a cheap Grizzly trimmer (plastic housing) in the jig that I posted earlier. It's the one that Ken recommended. It's good points: it's cheap and has an edge guide that can easily be modified (as in my jig). The bad point (only one, so far) is that the height (depth?) of the bit is very tricky to adjust -- particularly when it's installed in the jig. I've made a couple of "tools" that help, but what helps most of all is that almost all of my bindings are the same height (width?) so I rarely need to change that setting. Most decent routers, whether full sized or trim, have much better ways to adjust. FWIW.

I found this on a fella's blog - the date was 2015. I think the newer ones are fancier. This is a SM product.
Like to find a used one.

I did just locate this, quite a bit less expensive and free shipping. I already have a carriage for the guitar body, so I've emailed the seller to see if I can purchase just the tower and save a few bucks.

I was able to order the jig from Elmer's for $128 and no shipping cost. Since I already have the carriage, they were willing to sell me the tower and all at a lesser price. I'll let you know what I think of it.
Is it as good as the more expensive SM or LMII product? Probably not, but I'm hoping that for 3 guitars a year or so, it will function just fine, good enough.

So I tried to buy a bearing for the lmii router bit.
The bearing cost $7.76.
The shipping was $10.00.
What does it weigh - couple ounces. As big as a quarter. $10.00. I asked them - can't someone put it in an envelope and mail to me for what - a buck? Would not that be good customer service?
Rant finished. I'm not gonna pay that shipping cost.
Ok, I'm better now. Waiting for their return email.
