Thanks JOhn, I'm liking the colors more as I go along.
The neck with the 34mm nut feels really tiny but will be easy to play, I think.

I like. Question on your sound hole binding. Why the gap and do you cover it up somehow? I've not really done that on any of my builds yet.

Yep. the fb extension will cover it. I used thin pieces of veneer laminated together, to make that s/h binding so did not have a continuous ring.

The 2 small and very cheap spokeshaves from Veritas are really handy for all sort of things. For instance, trimming the neck flush to the fb.
Found another spot for a little color! Heel cap.
Bolted the neck on for the first time and holy crap, it lined up perfectly along the center line. Still got some flossing to do to tweak the neck angle, though.

The fret-end file block that Ken shows how to make :
http://www.kennethmichaelguitars.com/fretdressing.html works great. I also will slip a strip of 220, 320, 420 between the file and the block and take a few swipes to get those ends scratch free, just takes a second.

Excellent idea with the sandpaper. Didn't occur to me. Glad we have geniuses such as yourself to learn from. :-)
