That looks like a really neat set up! What is the front contact plate made from? It looks like it has developed some scratches but I am assuming that there are no corresponding marks on the soundboard?

No scratches, rides smoothly. Only reason I modified it is because my hand is not as steady as it used to be. But I'm glad I did it works great for me this way.

Got the neck set today, it was nearly dead on. Angle was perfect, off center about 1/32 and had to drop elevation slightly. Took about 15 minutes. Then I glued up the FB.

More progress after 3 weeks off for 2 weddings and a week vacation. The binding is dark brown tortoise.

It sure does look good. De-flattening the bottom has done wonders for the outline.
