Hmm, not so sure about my neck block gluing now, worried that It's not completely flush, ie. not prependicular to the sides, although it will be flush after sanding but then worried the neck joint will be slightly rotated, making the neck slightly rotated relative to the body. Any thoughts before I get going with the sanding bar? Think I'll have wait a while as I think you guys may be all still asleep. Snowed in here so nothing to do but try to build a guitar, hey.

I need to see a picture of the rim, sound-board side down on a flat surface like a table or kitchen counter. Take the pic to show how it lays on the upper bout neck block edge -- is it flush to the surface when free standing?

When you have it in the mold a top edge down -- clamped, are the sides perpendicular to the mold base? Might be the picture but it looks like your joint saw cuts were not square to the top edge of the rim casuing it to flare -- maybe an illusion?

they may not have been exactly square as I filed and sanded them a little to try to make them fit flush together, here are some pics of the joint with the square against the top of the rim and then against the workboard, doesn't look very off to me, but maybe not exactly dead on

Awesome! I think you are good to go to install the kerfing. Don't do any rim sanding now. Make sure the kerfing is even with the neck block on the top edge and a bit proud on the back edge.

Thanks Ken, unfortunately don't have pegs and bands yet, and snowed in. Grr. In unrelated news I finished another noideahowtodosomethingbutlookedontheinternet project, my solid state spring reverb pedal/circuit! Been fiddling with it for weeks with no joy. Should find pegs and bands tomorrow.
