again hard to tell from 1000 miles away -- but it does look like you could take a hair off the heel cheeks to get it more snugged up with out screwing up the FB plane angle.

Dang it, it is worth a try!!! Thanks. Everything else looks just fine; I'm thinking the block may be the culprit.

Okay, all is well. :-) I did shave a tiny bit off the cheeks, then did some judicious but aggressive flossing and it is coming along just right.
Thanks again.
Not sure how the block got off that little bit, but it was enough to wreak some havoc with the neck set. But as I said, all is well.

Steve did a great job on getting the neck to feel just right for his hands. Today we glued on the heel cap and the headplate, and leveled and buffed the frets. Will start the finish next week on this and the Parlor guitar.

Drilled tuner holes after making a little jig for said purpose. Still need to clean up headplate and slots etc.
