Consider some Gibson original P90's. I have 'm in my semi hollowbody. With them the guitar will be suited for almost every playing style. They really growl!

Thanks for the tip Herman, I'm not going rout a hole into the body, so I'm looking at the type that either mount with a tab under the finger rest, or attache with brackets to the sides of the fingerboard, but ultimately the pickup is suspended over the top. I really want to keep a more acoustic jazzy sound when amplified, not have it sound so much like an electric.

When putting the amp to 10, they are not very quiet, Ha!
If you mean background noise, they are comparable with some Fender single coils. If you don't stand just next to a speaker, it is not disturbing.

This clips shows quite as they sound:

Just purchased a Seymor Duncan Benedetto S6 floating humbucker pickup for the Archtop to be.
Did alot of research, and I think it will give me the best sound that I'm interested in getting. I kind of wanted GOLD, but they only come in black.

Rustoleum has a gold rattle can, I think. ;-)

The Benedetto pup is supposed to be a good 'un. He also makes a mean tailpiece, ebony.

Yeah, the wood kit from Bow River has a piece of ebony to craft that tail piece from, or I have some ebony fretboards that I can use that I think are thick enough.
Anyway, that is my plan. I'd like to make it, I tink!
