I use white compound read-to-use woodfiller out of a tube. Looks like plaster, but it is a bit finer in structure. Like pumice with a bit of water. Wait, I post a pic.

Thanks Herman, I'm not sure what the label means but I'm guessing it is pretty much the same stuff as drywall compound.

"Hout Plamuur" means "wood plaster".

Ok, the filling was done twice and sanded with 320grit. Smooth as a baby's butt.
Over that again a thin layer of shellac sanding sealer.

Check the neckfitting and allignment for a last time.

A bit of titebond on the joint surfaces. On my first guitars I drowned the joint in glue, but that is not needed if the joint fits tight. I know lots of us do not glue the fingerboard extension, but I do glue this with a bit of glue.
Clamps on it, look if the cheeks lay down nicely to the sides. Klaar is Kees! ("Ready is Charles!" = Dutch for "All is done")

Starting on the bridge
This time I try Wengé. One of the favorite woods of Somogyi. My ebony bridges weigh about 30-35 gram. Hope this one gets lighter. First I pencil the layout (Taylorcopy) and thickness the wood.
Then I rout the saddleslot up to 2 mm from the bottom.
Here we are now:
