Beautiful work on your guitar, but your shop is far too clean. Needs a little more dust and rust!

Ok , so there I was in my shop checking out the next steps in the kmg manual, I open the box with the remaining kit parts and what do I find in the box? A rolled up strip of B/W/B purfling. Uh Oh , How did I miss that. So it seems I have completed the binding process and forgot the back side purfling strip. I thought since I only had one strip that only the soundboard got the B/W/B purfling, never saw the other strip. At this point I think I will just leave it go without the back purfling strip, The other issue is that around the upper bout on the back the binding channel should have been cut a little deeper, after sanding the binding got thinner in that area. What do you guys think??? Thanks Jack.

I’m afraid you’re going to have to start over. Just kidding,,,, it looks great. The back binding looks ok in the picture.

Well that is odd --- that was not supposed to be in the box so you did good. The BWB we stock is used for our Abalone rosette -- our mistake.

Looking good. Most guitars don't have a back purfling anyway.........

Thanks Ken I do remember this now. You are correct the B/W/B strip is the strip that goes with the Abalone rosette that I originally ordered with the kit, but the top was cut for the wood rosette so you sent me the wood rosette. I should have removed these parts from the box and set them aside for the next kit. Thank you, I feel better now. Jack.
