The good thing about the retirement with my agency is that I can take a lump sum of up to 3 years pay and still get a retirement check. It would be about 75% of what I'd get without taking that amount. But, I will take some lump sum to use to pay off some nagging little bills and have the roof replaced. Naturally I'll need some luthier type of equipment like a side bender, a couple of contour disks, a binding machine, uh, well, uh, some more STUFF!! Oh, and a good bit of wood.
Dang, Dave, now you got me getting a bad case of GSAS - guitar stuff acquisition syndrome.

Gotta have a hobby. It's important for the marriage. For your health. For your sanity! It is a moral imperative that you get and stick with a hobby....and some killer wood.

There was a day when my hobbies were not so good for my marriage, but sense she got herself a hobby, life has been much better all around.
Oh, and a guy has to have a good stash of wood when he retires. I'm working on mine.

Oh, I have those moments as well. I wish my wife would get a hobby.
