I just ordered 2 gallons instrument lacquer from Pro Cabinet Supply
$80 a gallon
They showed 3 in stock, that leaves one if you want to grab it

I had a bad expierence thinking I could use precatalized lacquer over regular lacqer. It became clowdy and I had to strip all the coats back to bare wood and start all over.Don’t mix the two types.(I’m a biginer at this,and learning the hard way)

Thanks Jeremy for the experience. Sorry you had to do that.
I never really found much info on incompatibility but kind of figured one shouldn't go on top of the other.

I've had to strip and refinish more than once for various reasons, it's a job!

I will stick with instrument lacquer for now and the near future!
