Put a couple guides for a router on a jig that can securely hold the bridge parallel to the guides. Position the bridge route a slot, move the bridge to the next position route a slot and repeat until done

John's suggestion would also allow for bit changes to better match the string diameters. I think I'll try that too.
Here's some pics of how the sides were trimmed. The two mold halves clamped together and the side clamped tight. The last picture is a little blurry 'cause of the running tool in one hand and the phone in the other.

I wonder if the string diameter has anything to do with the slot width? I'm making all the slots the same.
I've had trouble using the router for this - I probably need a different bit. John mentioned an 'end mill' and what is that?

Ok, worked out the kinks and have a repeatable procedure. Here's one out of granadillo, which I love working with - great aroma, and has that 'used' but rich look of old wood.
