Found an open-box type special at HD on this Dremel workstation. I set the angle at 8* to rout the saddle slot. Worked well!

Dave how'd you set that up for routing?

Turned the device around on the central pole so that I'm using the benchtop rather than the device top as the surface.

Then I clamp some guides on the benchtop and push the blank under the router, lower the router (which has a depth stop on it) onto the blank, and push through, then lift the router and repeat. Took a dozen passes, I went very slow.

Couple bridge pix before pin holes drilled - 23 grams. For binding, I used some leftover .060" mahogany thick veneer from another project; I just clamp it to the edge of some mdf and use the stewmac binding channel tool to rip some 1/4" (little over, for sanding purposes) strips.
At .060", I did not have to prebend the binding for the 'mando' side - I may have to bend just a little for the guitar side. But it does lay in the channel easily and does not fight you much, as .080 or thicker tends to do. And I like minimal binding for some things.

I put a picture of that Veritas plane in there - it's a great tool for binding channel clean-up and squaring. The 1/4" blade is flush with the sides of the plane, so it's a true 1/4", flat, and works well for the purpose.

I have 4 holes for 8 strings; I saw the way to do it on the ANZLF and I think JOhn Parchem linked to it as well.

The bridge looks nice and dang but that plane is so cute.
