Solid or Laminated sides? Ribbon lining style (kerfing) - rim profiling, contouring and the logic for those choices

I think if you look closely, the top side template is not straight. At least it does not look like it to me.

The GAL plan is of a real, in hands 1937 guitar --- an actual re-construction project. These were inexpensive workman guitars -- yes quickly and cheaply made, I doubt they even had a specific back brace radius let alone the modern top bracing interpretations.

Does noone manufacture accurate side templates from hardboard, or the material Ken uses for his top templates?
