I think the HP-35 was the first digital calculator - I may be wrong - but I bought one through the company I worked for for $435 and this was in maybe 1969. The company took a few bucks every week out of my paycheck. There were a dozen of us that bought them and we would get totally nerdy and stand around and go OOOH look at this.

I had a couple of slide rules. I wonder if they qualify as antiques yet?
