Titebond Translucent wood glue....new to me!
Re: Titebond Translucent wood glue....new to me!
Just received mine in today's mail. I was bummed as it looked like someone had squashed it. Some had leaked out into the plastic bag it came in. A wet paper towel and a dry one rectified the problem. Wife was kinda grossed out but was happy once I cleaned it up. Put it on the shelf next to my Titebond two. Got a job coming up for it pretty quick.

Are there a few different Elmer white glues? School glue, low tack glue, etc, etc?

Elmer's "glue-all"
I think Noah used it on the ark

I built 3 small mandolins back in 1990 using Elmer's. They're holding together fine.

Sometimes I wonder about "special" glues for things. For instance, Why would anyone want to use hide glue?

OMG! Kevin; hast thou commited the unforgivable sin? I have an unopened container in my cabinet that I bought in 1996. I won't use it either. But they're going to ostracize you.

well lets face it, hide glue was used because that was the way glue was made back in the old old days of stringed instrument making. How does that make it better???????????
