Ahhh, so not along the fingerboard side like I have it in the picture. Okay, I'll
do that tonight. It should be 88.5 cause it's straight from Martin. So, 88.5+91.5= 180degs.
That should do it....

After I confirm that then I will make sure the mortise area is completely flat (just a light
sanding) and then remove the mortise cap to put the neck on and see where I'm at.

Okay, so i took the protractor and flipped it around so that
the long side is on the cheek of the neck. In the close up picture
you can see that it's reading between 89 and 90deg. Am I reading
it right this time? I think i am.

I'm assuming that I'm supposed to be using the top row of
numbers now since I flipped the protractor over. Is that correct?

I would say yes.

So, if it's reading between 89 and 90 deg's should I base it on the 89?
If I do that then the complimentary body angle would be 91deg to form
the straight line. Am I on track here?
