I am thinking in my "mind's ear" West Montgomery, Joe Pass, Pat Motheny is the Jazz Guitar sound I want to hear -- all use at least one pick-up at the FB extension.

That first one was a really good mic'd sound - that's what I was hoping to hear from a good archtop. Thanks.
