That really is some sharp looking wood under finish. Does it darken over time like some others, or is it fairly color-stable?

I put a coat of lacquer or three on the guitar. The spruce looks super nice so I thought I would post a pic. It is from my cell phone and it is not top notch, but you get the idea:
