Thanks for your kind words Rick. Yup, if it wasn't for Ken and a few like him we'd be turning bowls somewhere I guess.
I really am thankful for those who are willing to share. It takes folks like KEN...(Far and few between) that are honest enough and kind enough to separate the chaff from the wheat.
SOOOoooo much misinformation out there it would take a life time to dig out the good stuff and correct methods.
This is a great forum, I believe it's the best there is when it comes to getting the REAL deal because so many have a personal "Axe to grind" or use it as a front to just make money... no matter what it takes. This tread is a prime example.

Ditto what the others have said Ray. Even us new builders fall into the trap of thinking there is only one way to do something when there are many. Personally, I enjoy digging a little deeper and looking for new ways to do things. If all we had were dovetail joints and some youtube videos on how to set them on a cobbled together bunch of Martin seconds and rejects, not many of us would still be building!
And get yourself better! Ray and I have chatted in PM's and email for a while and Ray has had an interesting life. He alluded to it a bit when he mentioned Leo Fender and Les Paul in another post. Plus, he is a real old codger, so he has been around and has knowledge to share! Just kidding Ray!
Getting people thinking is what the sharing of idea ia all about. Its what the internet is perfect for. None of us would probably have ever met in real life, but we get to share ideas, kick around new ones, discuss old ones, and make our own decisions based on the info we have. Hell, I wouldnt even be able to get wood cut into guitar sets in my area so without the internet, I would have never been able to build a guitar!
It's been nice meeting all of you and seeing how you all work on your guitars. Thanks for sharing!

Tony
