Is there a market for selling completed kit guitars? I’ve seen a couple listed on Craigslist in the past but never considered buying either. That was before I knew the quality of the material some kit supplier’s use and the talent of some kit builders. Have any of you tried to or had success selling? I’m not interested in trying to make money. It would be nice to sell for the price to purchase another kit though.

That's how I started. I now build mostly to order, mostly scratch. I've sold 9 and have 2 more orders now with a third in negotiation.

I’m close to finishing my first two kit builds. One is for me the other is a gift. The next one is spoken for also but after that I want to try to sell to feed my habit. I think the first two are going to be decent players. The J-200 I have coming should be a dandy and by the fourth build I think I will be building a kit guitar with enough quality and attention to details that someone would like to buy it. Hope so anyway.
