thanks, knew I'd read that but couldn't find it for some reason.

Ok, back contoured! Had to sand away a bit more than maybe was ideal from the neck block end because of my previous less than perfect jointing of the rim ends but now looks pretty neat I think. Didn't think to make sure the adjacent pieces of kerfing were at exactly the same height so doesn't look so great inside where they join but hey, I'm learning!

I always find it very satisfying to get the rims contoured after I glue the linings in.
On a side note, I have the radius sanding stick that came with my Success Kit many moons ago and I also have a radius dish for the back of my guitars. I have gone back to using the sanding stick to contour the rim because I had been sanding my boxes unevenly in the dish. I ended up taking more off of one side than the other each time. Not so with the stick. I still check my work with the dish, but that stick is a great tool.

Good Mike, looks like it should become a guitar some day.

It's pretty exciting, just wet and pegged the kerfing for the other side, haven't had any cracks this time so far.

ok, I've just read all the neck set stuff in the manual and am very aware that I don't want to mess this bit up! I'm sorry if I'm getting confused with the instructions but do I follow the standard 'success' instructions for sanding the top flat or are there instructions specific to the multi mould i'm using? I think I should have done the top first (as bloody instructed!) as I think the back kerfing will get in the way of the internal arms to push the rim out.
Ok, halfway through writing this message I went and mocked it up as per the success instructions, with the neck block raised up to the same height as the tail block. I think it's correct in that the top of the neck block is not exactly parallel to the mould base but at a slight angle, this is how it should be right?
thankyou patient people.

Mike -- please contact me via regular email, since you don't have a Mega Mold or a Success Kit mold your slope is going to be created using your large sanding board. I need to ask some questions and have you take some measurements and send me some photos. Thanks
