Although I've been quietly following this forum, this is my first post. I finished this KMG kit Curly Cherry Small Jumbo (after a Gibson J185) in January. In a conversation with Ken I wanted to post some pictures of woods that are grown right here in the USA. This is my 6th acoustic guitar, but the first with domestic woods. My wife of 33 years said of the guitar, "This is the prettiest one yet. You should build all of them out of Curly Cherry!"
The finish is True Oil and it came out pretty nice; the pictures really don't do it justice. An aspiring luthier I am, but a photographer I'm not!
The sound of the guitar is pretty bright, similar to maple.
I'm very impressed with the quality of work I find on this forum and the helpful hints.
Thanks to all
Wally
