Your method of cutting string slots in the bridge?

Materials used - making - placing - gluing to the sound-board <-----<<< got to get this right!

My current method for cutting the "string ramps" -- also included is my logic for the necessity of ramping/slotting:

I thought I read most of KMG's info, somehow I missed that. I have about 5-7 bridges laying around but wt. the pin holes closer, which seems to make the ajustments trickier. I've even seen some martin bridges wt. the holes back a little. Makes sense...

Dave I believe Frank Ford uses the dremel to ramp the slots. To cut the slots I use the slot cutter I got from StewMac and finish with a round needle file. Don't worry about being exactly parallel, if it is too perfect it dosen't look hand made.

Thanks Woody - I'm going to try the dremel.
I'll be in Tucson for a week Feb 2-9, I hope the weather is good.
