Hot Stuff
Hot Stuff
After using Bob Smith and Jet CA (they get the job done) for some time (years) I ended up with a couple of bottles of "Hot Stuff" which is one of the original producers of hobby grade CA. It is my opinion that the "Hot Stuff" is superior overall to the other products I've been using. The HT seems to flow better, bond Mahogany and Spruce faster and more securely, smells better and most importatnly (for me) the whisker tip does not clog which is a real PITA. $.02

Re: Hot Stuff
I use Hot Stuff but have to be careful as I'm quite affected by the fumes. I use a mask for extended use. Also use pipettes for application for better control and less P.I.T.A. with plugging.

Re: Hot Stuff
At one time Satellite City called this version fumeless, now it seems "odorless" is the primary description. I've never used it.

I agree the vapors can be nasty -- seems I remember the need for a respirator after the fact -- duh on me --- burns the crap out of your eyes too!

Re: Hot Stuff
For what it's worth, another supplier of hobby-grade c/a that offers the same non-clogging (or at least less-clogging) tips as Hot Stuff, is Pacer.

I have been using ZAP CA glues for over 20 years in my other hobby R/C planes. I use the thin (pink bottle) and the Medium (Green bottle) the most. I toured the PRS guitar factory last month and they use ZAP Ca glues exclusively for inlays on the fretboard and some other tasks. Jack.
Re: Hot Stuff
LMI sells a user friendly CA which I have used. A vast improvement. I am pretty chemically sensitive and this stuff works great. It is more money though, but well worth it for me.
