This is my first post. I have been lurking for a while learningthe whole time. I have finished my first kit (a Martin kit) and it has turned out great. I am now working on a KMG kit and have one simple question so far and have not found the answer in the build steps.
Do I glue the MT joint in the KMG kit or just use the bolts? I know the fingerboard will have to be glued to the top.

Welcome to the forum!
The bolts are completely sufficient - I've used them on a dozen guitars and no problems at all.
Also - it is not necessary to glue the fretboard extension - I've never done it - though like all things guitar, it is probably contested. Ken Cierp may weigh in and since it is his kit, it will be worth listening to.

Hi Scott,
No mention of glue in the instruction set because you are not supposed to use any adhesive for the neck joint or the finger-board extension. The Finger-board extension should have a slight downward bow which will compress it nicely against the sound-board. Make sure the tenon is all the way down in the mortise sometime a little clamping pressure may be required -- glad you asked rather then making an assumption.
Pixs would be nice!

What Ken said. I have finished 8 guitars and none have had the neck or fret board extension glued.
