Steve Miller song question

Post by TonyinNYC » Sat Jan 19, 2013 1:27 pm

I heard a song by Steve Miller on satellite radio recently, titled "Rockin' me". However, it was not the "Rockin' me" I know from many the Fly Like an Eagle album. This was a totally different song, slower tempo, different chords, lyrics, etc. The chorus says "rocking me" over and over, and since the title is Rockin me according to the scroll on my radio, every search keeps returning the original version from the Fly Like an Eagle album. It was, as you might guess from everything written so far, a completely different song. However, I can not find it with a Google search.
The chorus says something like,
Keep on rocking me baby
Keep on rocking me baby
No one else can do the things that you do to me
keep on loving me baby...

Several dozen different searches have turned up nothing. The song sounds like its just Steve Miller and two acoustic guitars, so it might not even be on an album, but I was hoping someone else might have info about this song. It's a great song and I would like to learn it, but since I can not find it, that is sort of impossible. I only ever hear it in my car.
Thanks for any help!

Tony

I found it. It's called Rockin Me-slow demo '76. It is on the Fly Like an Eagle 30th anniversary edition album.
If you have never heard it, it's pretty cool.

I have to figure it out. I can't find music online and I am pretty bad it figuring songs out by myself. I was good at it when I used to play constantly, but no longer.

Ken,
I can't see the tab. Dont know why.

Kevin,
Nope. Look it up on amazon or iTunes. The 30th anniversary edition of the Fly Like an Eagle album has it as the last track.
