Ken, thanks for the information. That size spread makes sense to me.

Tim, thanks for the application tables; Ken, if the name of the vendor for the reamer you described and use is easily found, I'd love to have it. I've found nothing through Google searches that gets me to a vendor.
Thanks, everybody.

Re: Bridge Pin Hole Reaming
Guy sent his Wife to the hardware store for a small file and while looking them over, the clerk ask if he could help...she said, "well my Husband needs a small file....and I don't know which one is the best to do the job" the Clerk picked up one and said, "How bout one of these little bastards"...she shook her head and said, "I don't think so...but I'll take one of those little SOB's over there"....BUDDA BANG!!kencierp wrote:The holes in the bridge are normally 3/16" (KMG machining is programmed as such) If you don't want to purchase a reamer, there are a couple of options that work fine. Of course drill a 3/16" hole in a scrap piece of hard wood to test your process. The first is to use a 1/4" rat tail file, I have one that I broke off and chuck into my drill, I marked the desired depth with a piece of tape -- very quick and easy. A less aggressive method is to use the bare handle end of a bastard file, the angle is correct for most pins and the hardened metal has very sharp corners that shaves the holes easily. The latter is a trick I learned from Irvine Sloane.

Has anyone confirmed the taper angle on the HF reamer?
