Ziricote back and sides...what binding?

Post by TonyinNYC » Fri Dec 14, 2012 2:15 pm

Like the title says. I am giong to be building a ziricote back and side OM. I think curly koa would look nice, but I am open to ideas.

This is for the contest winner. He chose ziricote. Its a killer set too! One of my favorites.

Yes Tony, I think you would find that the curly maple would provide a very warm and natural contrast to the ziricote. It would also make a stunning headstock binding.

Ziricote bindings with a purfling would look real classy.

Here's a coco guitar I did with coco bindings.

I think yellowheart would look awesome.....since there is usually some green tint to the Zircote.
