Thanks Ken,
The top came out OK but with all the work it could use a few coats. I will dilute with alcohol as you suggest and give the top a few more coats. I will spray this rest of the instrument with EM6000. I have a few panels that I will play around with to get a feel for the em7000 (I still have a enough for a few instruments)

Dang John, that is a bummer. I don't see what was wrong with the back, why did you change it?

Re: harp ukulele project - Very Blue :(.
I am OK now it is nearly back together! I have one more strip of binding I can do today.
I could have kept the back, but once it was apart and given that I had an orphaned back I made a no compromise back. I did go back and forth on the back for awhile.
I admit this one hurt more than others to have it together and muck of the finish was hard. I have learned a bunch through the process. So all and all it is a positive experience.

AMAZING attitude. I don't think I could look at it quite the same way, but good for you John.
It will be beautiful when completed!

My guess is the bad part of the attitude was VERY prevalent before his fingers touched the keyboard, if yer anything like me. I've buried a few power tools (including my 9" bandsaw) cause they just happened to be light enough to heave across the garage. That's part of why I'm building another one. DIfferent story.
So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

Not a bad guess, I did wait awhile before I could write about it.
