Is there such a thing as a right-angled file?

Just a smallish, L-shaped tool with a file edge on the outside edges?

Always have plenty of sandpaper; it's rough out there!

Various little jobs, cleaning out rabbets mainly.

I haven't come across the shape about which you're asking, though that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Hand files and pillar files have safe edges, allowing you to remove material from one surface while having the file registered to an adjacent surface.
Always have plenty of sandpaper; it's rough out there!
