We've all know Keep It Simple Stupid, right?

I came up with my own, after an hour's struggle with something that was not going right, and ended up being, well:

KYTSS

Keep Your Tools Sharp Stupid!

My whole problem went away with 30 seconds worth of sharpening one chisel.

I hear you Dave. I'm learning that lesson as well. Amazing how much easier it goes with a freshly sharpened chisel and plane.
And this from a knife maker!!!!
