Spruce.
A cedar top needs to be thicker than a spruce top. Cedar bracing needs to be thicker as well. Add it up and you have a heavier soundboard. Use spruce and you can shave a bit of weight. I only used cedar on that "all cedar" experimental guitar that I still need to finish.
