Excellent!
What about tone bars - I'm planning on 5/16" for braces, utb, and the ladder brace, so those would be my only opportunities for shaving and shaping. That leaves the top pretty wide open, which might be a good thing. One possibility would be to 'play it by ear' - once I have it braced per the plans, some tapping on the bridge plate etc might show the necessity of a little more reinforcement here and there. Do I know what I'm listening for? I think I do.

Re: Offset hole - brace question
I don't think tone bars are needed? Might consider diamond reinforcemnts along the center joint.
