I'm not talking about the jig - do you see anything out of the 'ordinary' about the bridge?

Saddle slot is not angled and it looks to me like a "math" problem, not enough surface area to compensate all six different strings the core on 5 and 6 likely are thicker than the "B" string -- of course I could be wrong.

That's what caught my eye. What does not show is that the slot is for a 1/4" m/l wide saddle and the builder says that is enough for good compensation even without the slanted slot. I don't know - why not just slant it and have lots of room for compensation, like Doolin?

Poor judgement on the maker's part --- in my opinion As it relate to a 3/32" saddle it defeats the advantage of having a wider saddle and merely shifts the limited adjustment area problem from the treble to the bass end.

Tim - whassup? I got that pic off the ANZL forum - maybe the design works just fine, but sloping the slot would make me feel more comfortable.
It is probably a Gore design, if so I'm SURE it works for him. :-)

Not a Gore design; I think both the squared off slot and the pegholes following the bottom curve are for looks over function.
