That would in fact be "A" or student grade Englemann appearance wise at least. Higher quality Engleman does not even show grain lines and is a this wonderful Ivory color:

Dave's 0012 is made with a high level Englemann sound-board -- note the color

Well I did place a bid on a couple pieces of red cedar supposedly from British Columbia. The bidding went higher then I would go so I lost the item. But I did what Ken suggested and went to a supplier I had done business with before and purchased some from them. I did buy some nice Bubinga off ebay. I'm happy with what I bought. But I did look the pictures over carefully. I have also bought some Honduran mahogany and African Mahogany. I'm satisfied but the dealer is fairly local so if I had of gotten shafted I would have visited the place.
I've bought some pretty cool stuff off the bay and have been disappointed only once. A bad revue had him begging me to retract it. I purchased a guitar neck and there was three pics but all of the front. None of the back of the neck. I told my wife betcha something is wrong on the back. Sure enough there was a crack. I fixed it. But he told me it wasn't like that when he shipped it. I told him sure that's why there was three photo's of the front and none of the back.
