Where are you located, and has the heat wave and/or power outages affected you?
I'm in Southern Oregon and so far the temperatures are climbing, but nothing like the rest of the country.
Are you affected by the heat wave?

We're at 99 now and it's supposed to hit 103 before the day is over, 102 tomorrow, 104 last week. We've been boiling.
I've "Ben-Had" again!

It is rough in Seattle, it is sunny and 69 degrees and there is a forcast that we might hit 77 degrees today.

Yeah yeah, John, but you have to put up with all the coffee shops, bookstores, theaters, all kinds of different cuisines, lots of water nearby - I don't know how you bear it....

Re: Are you affected by the heat wave?
Been dealing with temps over 100F for two weeks now.
First stage HOT, but humidity wasn't too bad.
Then come the storms. Following day, humidity got right up there as expected (1st time this year I went outside and my glasses fogged up).
Dehumidifiers in basement working OT just to keep up.
Forecast calling for scattered T-storms tomorrow, bringing in a "cold front".
Monday we're supposed to get down to 86! (Looks like I might have to make a mad rush to grocery store and also check condition of snow tires!)

Always have plenty of sandpaper; it's rough out there!

A hundred and four here in Philly. The dog didn't even want to go for a walk today. Took him out and he wanted to turn back after a minute. I believe the pavement was to hot on his paws....Mike
