Hi my name is Chuck Goode, and the pics shown below are my first attempt at building an acoustic guitar. I had a few problems in the beginning, but with Ken's help I was able to get the project back on track. The top is Englemann Spruce and the back and sides are Rosewood. As all of you know Ken is very knowledgeable of this trade and is always ready to offer his help. I follow this forum and find it very helpful to those of us that need help and encouragement, as we attempt to learn this challenging trade
My second project is a 00/12, which is also one of Ken's Kits, and it is progressing well. I will be posting some progress pics soon.

Re: My First Guitar Project
It looks very nice Chuck! Getting that first one behind you, it's a good feeling and you learn so much. The 00-12 is a sweet little guitar and I'm sure you will enjoy building it.

Hi Charlie,
Looks like it turned out really nice. I sure like your headstock inlay. Where did you find it?

Re: My First Guitar Project
Hi Kevin, Thanks for the comments. The headstock inlay was purchased from Depaule Supply, in Eugene, Or. He has a large supply of precut inlay, which is all he sells. Their phone number is 541-607-8971. I'm not sure if I can list the web, but it is www.luthiersupply.com.
Thanks again for looking.

Looks good Chuck. I like that inlay also. Depaule has nice stuff. The website is always fun to check out.
