I will try to figure out a way to depth the route (sorry no gauge at present) else it will be awhile. I am planning to build a quick thickness gauge but that is way down on the list right now....

Thanks. No hurry, of course, but I'm curious just how thin they make that wood. Assuming the top shown in your picture was about 0.01, that groove looks fairly deep.

Stopped by HF unexpectedly, so if you believe the mic, the top overall is abt 0.120 thick. At the center of the route channel, the top thins to abt 0.080.
