First pieces of B/W plastic pufling glued into the F holes.

When I come back to the shop in a week I'll pull the tape, cut the mitre joints and glue in the remaining pieces.

Interesting use of the safe-ty plane. Looking at what you did I could see roughing in to more contour lines.

I'm happy with the way the F holes binding turned out .040" B/W PVC purfling using special glue from LMI.

Thanks Dave. New fun!!!

Fitting and installing the X braces on the top.
Using carbon paper to slowly find high spots and work the bottom of the braces to fit the compound curves of the top surface. Very tedious.

All glued up and shaped.

Very good looking Kevin!
Didn't know these have x- bracing. That carbon paper works nice.
I use it making a dovetail joint tight.
