Did I ruin this top

Hi All,
I wasn't sure if this should be in Rosettes or tops...anyway. I routed for my first Rosette with the StewMac Dremel base and rosette jig. I wanted to have the rosette just proud of the top so I wouldn't have to scrape too much. I accomplished that but when I turned the top over, this is what I saw.

Is this top ruined?

I believe it can be salvaged if you use epoxy -- I think that will unify the rosette and the thin sound board material.

Unfortunately Ken the rosette is glued in with white glue. Unless you mean spread some epoxy on the inside?

OK I did not realize it was glued already -- no problem -- instead of those little sound hole reinforcements make one that goes all the way around the hole about an inch in diameter, or even a rectangle the ID should be just slightly smaller then the sound hole. Many classicals have this arrangement.

I agree, I was thinking to make a donut and glue on the inside surface, then lose the soundhole reinforcement braces.
