I've been reading through his new book. I really enjoy reading it, and even though there is not a lot of 'new' material in it - he does have some procedures that are better than mine and I will adopt them.
It's very thorough and should be a help to anyone with woodworking experience that wants to build a guitar from 'scratch'. He has a likeable style, has included hundreds of photographs, and a good index.

Just started the book, so no definite conclusion, but so far it is very thorough. And it aims at the starting guitar builders with some woodworkers skills. And complex things, as for example making a dovetail joint, he skips knowingly.
Up till now I cannot find flaws or strange solutions in it.
I think it can turn out to be a very good book for the novice and the advanced bunglers. ;)

Thanks to all of you for purchasing my book and for providing your commentary on it here! Dave Bagwill is a frequent email correspondent who has commented on the book privately, but it is great to see those comments in a more public space. I was unaware of the existence of Acoustic Guitar Construction until just a few days ago when I received email from member Will Reyer. It looks like a great place for serious luthiers to hang out and provide mutual support.

R.M. Mottola thanks for checking out the forum. I have been going through your book as well and often refer to your website. I have been enjoying the book aa I pick up changes that I can make to my process as I read through different procedures.
